Advice on walking the West Highland Way in winter?

I'd like advice from someone who's walked it during winter season.I would be doing it with a friend, so feel fairly confident.However it'd be nice to know a little more about what to expect.I believe I'm well equipped for the trip, but feel free to give advice, since I might have left things out.Cheers
