What are these pieces on the side of the car called? And where can I find them?

If you look at the R34 conversion on this website: http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/172989 you see that it clearly indents on the side. These indents are also on cars like the Dodge Viper etc. but what are they called? What pieces do I need? And is the cost extravagant?
