No longer can stand the taste or smell of strong alcohol like vodka will this go away?

I've experienced my first time getting drunk not too long ago but I over did it by chugging several pints of straight vodka now whenever I even smell hand sanitizer I gag. Will this effect ever go away? And if I tried just drinking beer like newcastle or anything like that would I gag or should I be fine
